The United States might be tightening its borders, but there's one cat from Esterhazy that recently managed to slip through.
According to the Associate Press, the cat was a stowaway on a fertilizer truck last Wednesday that crossed the border and ended up in North Dakota – a 630-kilometre journey.
The cat clung to the metal surface of the truck exterior and managed to stay on until the truck arrived in Eldridge, N.D. eight hours later.
Customs officials spotted the cat when the truck was crossing, but no one could get their hands on the feline and the truck continued on its way.
The cat, which has been named "Canada," is in the care of the local Humane Society, which is trying to find it a home.
