American novelist E.L. Doctorow said, "Writing is like driving at night in the fog. You can only see as far as your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way."

He also said, "Planning to write is not writing. Outlining, researching, talking to people about what you're doing, none of that is writing. Writing is writing."

Hi, loquacious elf. Thanks for your comment. Yes, I teach ESL in Saskatoon (at the Saskatoon Open Door Society, an immigrant settlement organization). Teaching ESL is wonderful, but there aren't many jobs in Saskatoon. The main employers for ESL teachers here are the University of Saskatchewan's Centre for Second Language Instruction, SIAST (Kelsey campus) and the Saskatoon Open Door Society.
