Our first performance of this year's Fringe went extremely well tonight. We had a little over 60 people. They were a very attentive and supportive audience, laughing and being quiet/serious in all the right places. It felt wonderful!

Tonight at 6:20 is our first performance of "Fishing Buddies" and "Dancing Backwards" at the Saskatoon International Fringe. I'm very excited about it!

On Tuesday night we did a preview of our Fringe production for some people who won't be able to attend the Fringe. It went very well, as did our technical rehearsal in our venue (Venue 5, the Refinery, 609 Dufferin Ave., AIR CONDITIONED) yesterday. Please note that the (Donald B.) CAMPBELL & COMPANY production of "Fishing Buddies" and "Dancing Backwards" (two plays with a total running time of 70 minutes) is abbreviated as "Fishin' and Dancin'" in the schedule that's in the middle of the Fringe program. (By the way, the Fringe organizers were the ones who decided to abbreviate it that way!)

The segments from "Fishing Buddies" and "Dancing Backwards" that we did at the Fringe preview event last night at Wash 'n' Slosh on Broadway were very well received. We'll be one of the groups doing short previews there again tonight. The event is from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and is free.

In the July 27 issue of the Saskatoon Sun there's an article about local Saskatoon Fringe Festival performers that features me and includes a photo of me and Damien H. Bartlett, the other actor in my Fringe production this year. There are a couple of errors in the article. The caption under the photo has my last name as "Cambell" rather than "Campbell". Also, the article says that this is my tenth production at the Saskatoon Fringe. Actually it's my tenth Fringe production, including three in Edmonton only, one in Edmonton and Saskatoon, and six in Saskatoon only. Other than those minor points, I'm very happy about the article!
