There were about 700 people at the peace march in Saskatoon. I made a sign that said, "PRUNE THE OVERGROWN BUSH!"

We're going to have wonderful weather today for the peace march. It seems strange to be saying "peace march" in the 21st century. Unfortunately, this type of protest is still necessary, which makes the idea of "progress" seem like a myth. Of course, lots of people are making progress as individuals and groups, but that doesn't stop idiots in power from creating situations that require peace marches.
At least it's starting to feel like spring will come before July this year!

Good news! Last night an actor named Damien H. Bartlett, who recently did a one-man show at the U. of S., auditioned for our Fringe production. I had seen his show, and his audition was very good, so we decided to cast him. That means that he'll play Buddha in "Fishing Buddies" and Man in "Dancing Backwards". I'll play Jesus in "F.B." and Simon in "D.B.". David will be the director. This year's Saskatoon Fringe festival is from August 1 to 10. I'll let people know when I find out about performance dates and times.
