I've attended the first two nights of the Saskatchewan Playwrights Centre's Spring Festival of New Plays, which has been very enjoyable. On Monday night there was a lively and often humorous "round table" (without the table) discussion of the role of actors in play development workshops. Last night there was a staged reading of "Angels Are Us" by Byrna Barclay, which was very good. I plan to attend the remaining staged readings this week. See my website (http://donaldbcampbell.tripod.com) for details about them.

Tonight I have a dinner meeting with the director (Rob Moffat from Calgary) and dramaturge/dramaturg (Ben Henderson from Edmonton) for my play "Dancing Backwards", which will be workshopped and rehearsed on Friday and Saturday, culminating in a staged reading on Saturday at 1:00 in the Drama Dept. (John Mitchell Building near the front entrance to the Agriculture Bldg.) at the U. of S.

(Donald B.) Campbell & Company will do a full production of it, along with my short play "Fishing Buddies", at the Saskatoon Fringe at the beginning of August. See my website for more details.
